Deadly cars

Cars can be very dangerous machines!

Our Privacy Policy

We are passionate about personal privacy. Much though we love the Internet we are very unhappy indeed about the lack of privacy and the way that so many companies out there deliberately get as much personal information out of their visitors as they possibly can. We are not one of those companies.

Privacy legislation

The main law in the United Kingdom and Europe which covers data protection is the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which regulates the way in which data is collected, what use it is put to, how it is protected, and how it is processed. We will cover each of those items as follows:

How we collect data about you

Simply; we don't. Our website is designed for entertainment and not to extract money from anyone so we have no interest whatsoever in gathering any names, addresses, credit card details, or other personal information about our visitors. We do have access to web stats, which give us information about the number of visitors to this site, the IP addresses they came from and various bits of information about the pages that they looked at, but none of this is personal information which could identify any visitors. We very rarely even look at these anyway.

How we store data

Unless you actually contact us, in which case we will have a record of your query, your e-mail address and any other information you give us, we have no other data to store at all. Copies of enquiries that we receive are kept on an encrypted computer system to which no other persons, apart from the writer of this document, have access to.

What we use your data for

We will reply to any queries that we receive and try to be as helpful as we can. We will not use any information we have to send out spam, or any other sort of marketing material.

How we process your data

What data?

Links to other websites

This is where things get a little more complex. There may be hyperlinks on this website to other websites owned by other people or companies. Any links that our website carries will be put there because we feel that the sites we link to may contain information, or sell products or services, that you may be interested in. We have no way of knowing what information, if any, you provide to the owners of these sites, and we have no control over their individual privacy policies. If you do in fact use a link from our site to visit another you really should check the privacy policy on that site to make sure that you approve of it.

These are little text files that are placed on your computer and the overwhelming majority of them have the sole purpose of making it easy for you to navigate or use the websites that placed them. Some cookies, unfortunately, can also be designed to get hold of personal data and either store it or allow the companies that designed the cookie to read it.

We do not use cookies at all, in any way, for any purpose. This is why our website does not need to have the usual cookie consent button that you have to press before you can get into many websites these days!

Changes to this policy

We may have a nervous breakdown one day and start gathering data from our visitors, but I very much doubt it. However, just in case we do, it may be best if you revisit this privacy policy from time to time, just in case we have had to change it.
